About Steph
How lucky I am to be able to do what I love, every single day and it never feels like ‘work’!
The Groom’s Sister was born in Port Hedland WA 8 years ago when my daughter was 3 months old. I missed not being able to engage my creativity and challenge myself. It quickly turned into a very busy side hustle as we moved back to our home town, Currumbin on the sunny Gold Coast. I am grateful to say that it still brings me an immense amount of learning and joy.
I thrive on a challenge whether it be with my fitness goals or bringing your ultimate cake vision to life. There is nothing better than seeing your reaction when you collect your cake.
From the moment you contact me, the research begins. We start with an idea and budget you have in mind and together, we build and create the perfect, most unique design.
Once you’ve chosen your flavour and confirmed the booking, I get to work. It sometimes takes weeks to prepare certain elements of your cake and it all has to be timed perfectly to ensure a smooth process that ends with a fresh, delicious and beautiful looking product.
I love trying new techniques and trends and always keep an open mind. It’s never ‘just cake’, it’s a process that I passionately love and feel very privileged to be a part of.
